Some students benefit from test preparation. Courses, workshops, online programs, and tutoring can be purchased, sometimes with performance guarantees. Take the guarantees with a grain of salt, however; most students who retest score higher even without additional preparation. If you need the extra motivation provided by taking a course, these paid options may be helpful. But you can’t boost your scores much, with or without a course, unless you do a significant amount of work.
